Who is Troy Hendrix? What is Sangama Global?
Former pastor Jud Hendrix: An update.

Troy Hendrix: Into Account has recently become aware that Jud Hendrix, who the Administrative Committee of Mid-Kentucky Presbytery of Presbyterian Church USA found to have had “inappropriate sexual contact with ten or more women within his pastorship” at Covenant Community Church, is now going by a different name.

His full name is Troy Judson Hendrix, and he pastored under the name Jud Hendrix. He now goes by Troy Hendrix.

Who is Troy Hendrix? Well, he’s the same (now former) pastor who was found to have had “inappropriate sexual contact with ten or more women within his pastorship.” Troy Hendrix, Jud Hendrix, he’s still the same guy.

He has left the church and founded Sangama Global. What is Sangama Global? The website describes it as “a global community and learning ecosystem.” It claims “We came together for a time like this.”

Still confused? That’s because the kind of language used to describe Sangama Global is pretty formless.  They do personal transformation! Relational intelligence! Collective creation! Systems change! IN! WITH! OUT!

Into Account can’t make heads or tails of what they supposedly do. They’re going on a journey! El Camino! But we’d be suspicious of anything Troy Hendrix, or Jud Hendrix, or Troy Judson Hendrix is claiming Sangama Global does.

Why?

Because he’s still just a former pastor who was found to have had “inappropriate sexual contact with ten or more women within his pastorship.”

While the tone of this article is a little bit glib, Troy Hendrix’s/Jud Hendrix’s sexual misconduct is a serious matter. The investigation by the Administrative Committee and survivor reports showed that he created an environment of secrecy, and within it he engaged in additional deception and manipulation to target members and attendees with sexualized violence, unwanted sexual contact, and deceptive sexual relationships, among other behaviors.
